What to Wear

Think dressy garden party — soft colors, pretty fabrics, and something you feel lovely in. We've gathered a little inspiration below to make it easy (and fun).

How to think about it

Dressy, in a garden sort of way

Picture a daytime celebration in a flower garden — flowing dresses and light linen suits in soft, sun-washed colors. It's a real party, so we're leaning away from the casual end. Whenever you're unsure, go a touch dressier; you truly can't be overdressed here.

For Her

Soft, Flowing, in Bloom

Think a dress that moves — long (maxi) or mid-length, in a soft color or pretty floral. Florals, linen, chiffon, a little lace. That's really it.

Soft jacquards & airy silks

Reach for fabrics that move and catch the light — floral jacquards, fluid silks, chiffon, a little lace. Texture in a soft shade is the whole secret to looking garden-formal.

Where to find a dress

A few easy places we love — rent something fun, or order in your exact size.

Everything here is simply inspiration — meant to spark ideas and make shopping a little easier, never a requirement. Please don't feel you need one of these exact dresses. And if you do order one of Katrina's picks and worry about someone else having the same, just let her know — she'll happily pull it from her lists.

For Him

Light, Natural, Refined

A sport coat or a full suit — both are perfect. Keep it light (french blue, sage, stone) and finish with brown or cognac shoes. That's the whole look.

The easy formula

Light cloth, natural color

  • Sport coat or full suit — both welcome
  • Light colors: french blue, sage, stone, sand
  • White or soft-colored dress shirt, tucked in
  • Brown or cognac leather shoes + matching belt
  • A pocket square or tie if you like — optional

Where to shop

From easy and affordable to a little nicer — all great for a light suit or sport coat.

Not a suit guy? Totally okay. A simple light linen sport coat over chinos is plenty — find one inexpensively at H&M or ASOS, or browse Macy's, Azazie, and Birdy Grey for wedding-ready suits. Anything soft and light in our colors is perfect.

The colors we're dreaming in

Any of these soft, sun-washed shades is perfect — mix, match, or pick the one that feels most like you.

Coming as a couple or with your people? You don't have to match — just pull from the same soft shades and you'll look wonderful together.
